As part of its Protomayiotiko Weekend, the Byzantio Greek Dance and Cultural Arts Program is proud and honored to host a lecture on
The Revival of Pontic-Greek Music in Contemporary Turkey Princeton University's Nikos Michailidis lectures on cultural dynamics, meanings, challenges, and broader sociopolitical stakes of Pontian music. Afterwards, Niko will play the Pontian lyra for a Parakath (Pontian for a small gathering with dancing.)
