Taverna Kefi is open!   We are excited to bring to you, DCGreeks.com visitors, wonderful Greek cuisine in an atmosphere unlike any other Greek restaurant in DC. 

Our Chef de Cuisine, Ghassan Jarrouj, has created a food experience that's both traditional and innovative. Chef Jarrouj comes to Taverna Kefi with years of experience from some of DC's best Mediterranean restaurants - Neyla, Zaytinya and, most recently, Me Jana.  He gives every dish his creative touch and personal attention and it shows in every dish that comes out of the kitchen.

The wine list features over 40 wines from Greece - so if you've visited Greece recently and fell in love with a special village, you'll experience a sense of nostalgia when you crack open one of our bottles.  The brick arches, dark woods and exposed beams make you feel like you're in someone's home and the dish is being prepared by their yiayia. The openness of the restaurant lets you enjoy the crowd and energy, and hopefully, give you the feeling of Kefi - that feeling of excitement and enthusiasm!

Taverna Kefi welcomes all generations of the family - your toddlers to your teenagers to your grandparents.   Our private and semi-private dining rooms are perfect for any occasion - engagements, birthdays, corporate events and holiday parties.
