This year, AHEPA will once again have the hallowed honor of laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day. This has been a time-honored tradition dating back to 1928. Moreover, our Brothers from Washington Chapter 31, with support from Col. Peter N. Derzis Chapter 438, Arlington, VA., will be placing grave markers on all Greek-Americans and Orthodox Christian soldiers who are buried at Arlington Cemetery and made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. As this has become an immense task, these chapters are welcoming assistance those who are able to participate on the Saturday before Memorial Day. If you are able to participate this will be an incredibly moving day which you will remember for the rest of your life.
Participants will meet at the Arlington National Cemetery Parking Lot at 8:30 AM on Saturday 5/23/15.
After the event AHEPA will be hosting a cookout on the rooftop of its National Headquarters in Washington, DC for all who participate.
