The AHEPA National Athletics Department is holding its annual NAIBT – National AHEPA Invitational Basketball Tournament at the end of the 2016 AHEPA Supreme Convention Week in Las Vegas, NV. Opening round games begin on the evening of Wednesday July 27, continue on Thursday, July 28, and culminate on Friday, July 29.

Entry Fee

Teams entering the tournament will be required to submit a $400 entry fee to reserve their slot, which will be fully refunded following the completion of their participation in the tournament for those teams who register prior to June 12, 2016. In addition, all teams completing participation will also receive $400 to assist them with travel expenses.

Tournament Format

Double-elimination or round-robin, depending on the final number of teams that enter into the tournament.

Teams

Men’s and Women's teams are invited to participate. Men will participate in AHEPA/Sons division and Women in the Daughters/Maids division.

Player Eligibility

Players participating in the NAIBT must meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

• Active Member, in good standing, of AHEPA, Daughters of Penelope, Sons of Pericles, or Maids of Athena for at least 6 months

• Of Hellenic descent

• Married to spouse of Hellenic descent

Team Registration fees are $400 to reserve your spot, but will be refunded to those teams at the conclusion of the tournament for those teams who register prior to June 12th, 2016 and complete their participation. Registration fees can be paid online via major credit card, PayPal, or by mailing in a check.

Teams who register and complete their participation will also receive a $400 check to be used to mitigate travel expenses incurred.

Deadlines

The Registration Deadline is June 24, 2016. If paying by check, checks must be received by June 30, 2016.
