This event will be held at In Step, a Dance Studio in Fairfax City (where St. Katherine's YAL's instructor, Basil, professionally teaches) that holds Ballroom dances every Friday night. See detailed directions below.
Afterwards, we'll move the evening to one of the local hot spots...to be determined.
DIRECTIONS:
In Step is located at 9440 Mathy Drive in Fairfax City, VA, near the Fair City Shopping Mall. At the corner of Mathy and Pickett road two lights north of Rt 236. It's also just a little south of the Fairfax Ice arena. On the second floor of the building with a Kemper carpet store on the first.
From Northern Virginia points east or south of the I-395/Beltway Interchange in Springfield, take the Beltway to Route 236 (Little River Turnpike) West and go to the 8th traffic light beyond the Beltway. This is Pickett Road. Turn right onto Pickett Rd. and go to the 2nd traffic light, which is Mathy Dr. Turn right and park in the parking lot on the left. (Do NOT park in the first parking lot on the right; the owner will have your car towed; it has been done before.) You may also park on the left hand side of the street, facing toward Pickett.
From Northern Virginia points west of the I-395/Beltway Interchange, take the Beltway to Route 50 West and go to the 8th traffic light beyond the Beltway. This also is Pickett Rd; take a left onto Pickett, and go, to the 3rd traffic light, which is Mathy Dr. Turn left onto Mathy Dr., and follow the parking instructions described above.
From Washington, D.C., take I-66 westbound to the first exit beyond the Beltway. This is Nutley St. (Route 243). When on the exit lane, take the second right turn and circle up over the overpass. When on Nutley St, go to the 3rd traffic light, which is Lee Highway (Route 29). Turn right onto Route 29 and go to the 3rd traffic light, and turn left. Go past the first traffic light (Route 50) and continue 3 more traffic lights to Mathy Drive. Turn left, and follow the parking instructions described above.
