Top of the Hill
(2nd floor bar at Politiki)
319 Pennsylvania Ave SE
Washington, DC, 202-546-1001 Metro: Four blocks from Capitol South station
on the Orange and Blue lines (corner of First and C St SE)
Top of the Hill is a hip and upscale establishment, conveniently located on Capitol Hill. Wood paneling and warm amber lighting complement a conversational atmosphere, as do clusters of plush couches and leather chairs. The decor of this deep room is enhanced by hanging plants, unique chandeliers, and large mirrors. World War II era art, which has adorned the walls since before renovations were completed in 2001, remains. Additionally, local artists' creations are profiled and hung on six walls panels, entitled "Top Shelf II" in the raised seating area. Televisions, an Internet jukebox with more than 100,000 song selections, and a pool table provide entertainment for guests. For those of you unfamiliar with this effort, below is an explanation: We've often heard young Greek-American professionals - married and single - say that they would like the opportunity
to meet other Greek-Americans in the D.C. area in a relaxed and informal setting.
We would like to invite you to join us on the third Thursday of every month at a gathering to which all Greek-American professionals in the Washington metro area are invited.
We pledge to you that:
There will be no cover charge, no RSVP's and no name tags.
There will be no group name, no board members and no mission statements.
This is simply an attempt to address a need we have heard many express:
to help young Greek-Americans in the area get together.
We hope to see you at a future Third Thursday.
