If weather permits, look for us on the fantastic deck upstairs.
Barbara and Jeff Black have done it again. The upscale big sister of Addie's is Blacks --- and when you are in search for some of the freshest seafood --- this is the place to come. The 'gulf coast style' cooking is pristine. The oyster bar is a local favorite --- or if you like them cooked, triy either the Oysters Marsha Ellen (Broiled Chincotegues dressed in Parmesan Cheese, Roast Garlic, and Thyme) or the Oysters Susan (cornmeal crusted with shiitake mushrooms, roasted corn and applewood smoked bacon). For entrees, sure bets include the diver scallops and the yellow fin tuna (grilled yellowfin with black beans and grilled pineapple with a cilantro lime vinaigrette). For those of you unfamiliar with this effort, below is an explanation:
We've often heard young Greek-American professionals -
married and single - say that they would like the opportunity
to meet other Greek-Americans in the D.C. area in a
relaxed and informal setting.
We would like to invite you to join us on the third Thursday
of every month at a gathering to which all Greek-American
professionals in the Washington metro area are invited.
We pledge to you that:
There will be no cover charge, no RSVP's and no name tags.
There will be no group name, no board members and no mission statements.
The organizers of these events will never accept a personal gratuity
or benefit from the venues in return for holding the events there.
This is simply an attempt to address a need we have heard many express:
to help young Greek-Americans in the area get together.
We hope to see you at a future Third Thursday.
