GREEK OLYMPIC BASEBALL TEAM EXHIBITION GAME AT ORIOLE PARK AT CAMDEN YARDS
ORIOLES PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 5:30pm August 2, 2004 PUBLIC INVITED TO OLYMPIC BASEBALL EXHIBITION WEDNESDAY AT CAMDEN YARDS THIS WEDNESDAY at 10:00 a.m. It doesn't take a trip to Athens to see Olympic baseball. Area fans will have the opportunity to watch an exhibition game between the Greek and Canadian Olympic teams at Camden Yards on Wednesday, August 4 at 10:00 a.m. The game is the final exhibition the teams will play before departing for the Olympic Games in Greece. There is no admission fee; however, the Orioles suggest that fans attending make a $5 donation to benefit the Derksen Education Fund and the Greek Baseball Federation. The Derksen Education Fund was established to assist the teenage children of Rob Derksen, the executive director and manager of the 2004 Greek Olympic baseball team and international scout for the Orioles who died suddenly of a heart attack on June 15. The Orioles Charitable Foundation will match all funds raised at the event. Fans may enter Camden Yards at Gate D beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Free parking for the game is available in Lot B/C. Aramark concessions will be available during the exhibition. --orioles--
