The Saint Katherine YAL will be hosting their monthly Sandwich-making for the Homeless next Monday, January 9th, at 7:30pm in the kitchen of the new hall. Please bring two or three loaves of sandwich bread, and two or three packages of deli meats and cheeses. Afterward, we will all go to a restaurant for dinner as a group.
St. Katherine's YAL invites all our local (and not so local) college students home on break to join us this month!
Last month we made and donated a record 748 sandwiches to the homeless shelter! Afterwards, we all went to Chili's in Bailey's Crossroads for dinner. If you haven't been to sandwich-making in a few months, what better time to start off 2006. There are so many people in our community who are less fortunate than us and they depend each month on the sandwiches that we make and donate to the shelter.
We have been averaging about 15-20 YAL members each month at Sandwich-making. There are quite a few new members in the Saint Katherine YAL and every month someone new shows up. The Saint Katherine YAL has been hosting sandwich-making every month for over seven years now. This event is a great way to meet new people and get acquainted with old friends, and we go to a different restaurant each month.
