This Monday, March 12th at 8:00pm, the Saint Katherine YAL will be hosting Deuteri Deutera, their monthly charitable and social event in the kitchen of the Cultural Center.
Please bring 7-8 loaves of sandwich bread and 8-10 packages of deli meats and cheeses per person. (Thus, if you come with three of your friends, please make sure that each person brings the same quantity of bread, meats and cheeses.)
If you cannot attend this event but would like to make a cash contribution to this most worthy cause, please contact Aris Chronis at [email protected] and Aris will purchase the bread, meats and cheeses on your behalf.
For 2007, the YAL has set a goal of donating 12,000 sandwiches to the Bailey's Crossroads Community Shelter for Men and Women. We are off to a good start, having donated over 2000 sandwiches in first two months of the year.
There are so many people in our community who are less fortunate than us and they depend each month on the sandwiches that we make and donate to the shelter, especially during this Lenten season.
Afterwards, the YAL will go out as a group to a local restaurant for dinner. We look forward to seeing you this Monday! May God bless you with His love and forever keep you in His grace.
