Third Thursday

When: Thursday June 21, 2007
7:00 PM
Where: Eighteenth Street Lounge
1212 18th St. NW
Washington, DC  20036
Minimum Age: 21

We Greeks are a resourceful bunch. We can beat back the Persian Empire without the use of fancy shmancy computer animation, we can civilize and educate Romans*, and our use of the skirt/vest/FuManchu mustache ensemble so bedazzled the Turks that they lost Greece and their empire. In a tribute to our valor and resourcefulness (eimaste epinoitikos!), we will be re-announcing our event for the 18th St Lounge. Please join June's Third Thursday (June 21st, 2007) at the 18th Street Lounge in Washington DC, starting at 7 pm. Noted as one of DC's premiere lounges, you'll find Jazz, House, and Electronica, with Latin and World music thrown in for "flava."

You may need a bit more information besides the street address, as they do not have signs or numbers pointing out their location. So, look for the dark door next to the Mattress Warehouse. Making your place hard to find is apparently hip. We'll be at the smaller bar on the second floor.

Third Thursday provides young (single and married) Greek-Americans, Greeks, and Cypriots in the DC area a chance to meet in an informal setting. It really is that simple. Whether you are in school or in a job, or somewhere in between, DC native or transplant, you are welcome. You don't even have to live in the area -- If you find yourself often in DC, get on the list. Add yourself to the mix.

There is no cover charge and the organizers, Eleni A., George P., and Tia L. do not receive any remuneration for their efforts. Don't Drink and Drive!
