Third Thursday

When: Thursday March 18, 2010
7:00 PM
Where: Union Jack's Ballston
671 N. Glebe Rd
Arlington, VA  22203
Minimum Age: 21

As the last peaks of the Snowpocalypse succumb to the inevitable, thoughts turn to spring and all the green (chloros) Persephone brings. Viridity evokes St. Paddy’s Day --- an opportunity to dye pools of water and cheap beer the color of the Emerald Isle. As Agios Patrick is an Orthodox Saint too and Greeks come and stay late at any party, why not continue to celebrate his name day on the 18th of March? Greek Independence Day is a week later, so let’s salute Lord Byron and the English fleet’s victory at Navarino as well.

This tortured connection (C+, grading on a generous curve) is to let you know that March 18 2010’s Third Thursday will begin at 7pm at Union Jack’s in Ballston (aka Arlington). They’ll have March Madness on the TV so you can follow your brackets. Did I mention it is also Ladies Night (cue Kool & The Gang)?  Popular 80's Cover Band, Gonzo's Nose, will be performing live!

Stay tuned for Specials in the days ahead...

Eleni, George, and the other George

Third Thursday provides young (single and married) Greek-Americans, Greeks, and Cypriots in the DC area a chance to meet in an informal setting. Itreally is that simple. Whether you are in school or in a job, or somewhere in between, DC native or transplant, you are welcome. You don't even have to live in the area -- If you find yourself often in DC, get on the list. Attendees run the gamut from Grad Students to CEOs, Artists to Scientists, and Retail to Ivory Tower. Add yourself to the mix.

You don't even have to live in the area -- If you find yourself often in DC, get on the list. Add yourself to the mix. There is no cover charge and the organizers, Eleni A., George P., and George C. do not receive any remuneration for their efforts. Don't Drink and Drive!
