1950s-era Cocktail Party!

When: Friday October 22, 2010
7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Where: Home of Dean Christakos
150 Rhode Island Ave NW #203
Washington, DC  20001

Our grandparents' and parents' generation got one thing right - how to party in style, in the comfort of their home. Cocktail parties became popular ways to entertain friends, as cocktails themselves became fashion accessories. It was all about the difference between a glass of gin with an olive in it, and a Martini! The fun of shaking, stirring and garnishing a drink in a posh glass added to the glitz and glamor. Cocktails were also quite daring with interesting colors and fruity flavors. Not to mention the hors d'oeuvres and the fashion...

So let's bring the happy hour back to where it all started from - at home with a 1950s-era cocktail party!

Join your fellow Greeks in the DC area, as St. Sophia YAL, in conjunction with the Hellenic Society of Washington, DC and DCGreeks.com, host a cocktail party, replete with gin and cocktail food (1950s fashion is not required, but encouraged).

WHEN: Friday, October 22, 7pm-10pm

WHERE: 150 Rhode Island Ave NW, #203, Washington, DC (home of Dean Christakos)

Questions: E-mail [email protected] or call at 617-470-5731
