Third Thursday | James Hoban's Irish Restaurant | March 17, 2011
Back in March of 2005, Third Thursday conveniently dodged St. Patrick's Day by holding it in a Greek-owned place named after a mythical winged-horse for Bellerophon, forsaking all Leprechauns. This year we've decided to run smack-dab into the middle of it. Celebrate Third Thursday and St. Patrick's Day at James Hoban's Irish Restaurant (if it makes you feel any better, it used to be a Greek-owned club), right in the heart of Dupont Circle on March 17, 2011 starting at 7:00 PM.
This is the part of the announcement where we tell you that we've secured some great specials and reserved a couple of tables in the bar area, but who are we kidding, James Hoban's doesn't need specials on St. Patrick's Day, nor do they need tables. What they will have is a huge tent outside to augment their already large venue, along with live music.

Since 2001, Third Thursday has provided Greek-Americans, Greeks, Cypriots, and Philhellenes from the Washington, DC area and beyond the chance to meet every month in a relaxed atmosphere, particularly welcoming those who have moved from different parts of the country for work or school into the greater DC area Greek community. With visits to a variety of bars, restaurants, and lounges in the most vibrant neighborhoods of DC, Maryland, and Virginia, Third Thursday is a great way to catch up with old friends and make new ones in the Greek community. As it now embarks on its third iteration since its founding, we promise to maintain the simple principles of its founders, while expanding the event to an ever-changing audience of Greeks in the area. We look forward to seeing you -- or meeting you for the first time -- at the next Third Thursday.
