Third Thursday | Nostos Restaurant | June 21, 2012Join us on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 7 PM at Nostos Restaurant in Tysons Corner, VA for this month's Third Thursday. Of the 27 previous Third Thursdays that have been held in Virginia, only one of them was held outside of Arlington or Alexandria, and that was all the way back in January of 2003, so for one of of these to be held outside of the proximity of the Orange and Blue lines, there's got to be a good reason. Opened in 2011 by the family that brought you Mykonos Grill, Nostos featuring fresh fish from the Mediterranean Sea, such as branzino, dorado and sardines, a wide variety of mezedes, over fifty distinct wines from several different regions of Greece, and a variety of unique cocktails. While we normally don't ask for RSVPs for Third Thursday, Nostos isn't that big of a place and is typically busy on Thursday nights, so if you're looking to get dinner before joining us at the bar, please make sure to reserve a table. Nostos Restaurant Getting There Driving Directions See you there, Aristotelis Chronis | Themistocles Chronis | Sofia Plagakis | Christiana Shoushtari | Michael Veronis If you have a suggestion on where the next Third Thursday should be, email us at [email protected], join our Facebook group. We would love to hear from you! Since 2001, Third Thursday has provided Greek-Americans, Greeks, Cypriots, and Philhellenes from the Washington, DC area and beyond the chance to meet every month in a relaxed atmosphere, particularly welcoming those who have moved from different parts of the country for work or school into the greater DC area Greek community. With visits to a variety of bars, restaurants, and lounges in the most vibrant neighborhoods of DC, Maryland, and Virginia, Third Thursday is a great way to catch up with old friends and make new ones in the Greek community. As it now embarks on its third iteration since its founding, we promise to maintain the simple principles of its founders, while expanding the event to an ever-changing audience of Greeks in the area. We look forward to seeing you -- or meeting you for the first time -- at the next Third Thursday.
