The Hellenic Initiative's Inaugural D.C. New Leaders Cocktail Reception
The Hellenic Initiative Invites You to our Inaugural New Leaders Cocktail Reception
Thursday, June 20, 2019 Join The Hellenic Initiative at our Inaugural New Leaders event in Washington, DC! We are excited to share more information with you about our work in Crisis Relief and Economic Development in Greece. We look forward to a fun evening of meeting one another over some drinks and nibbles on the rooftop of Ozio while we support our mission to provide crisis relief and economic development to the Greeks in Greece. THI New Leaders are an international group of like-minded professionals 21-40 years of age who actively believe in investing in the future of Greece through direct philanthropy and economic revitalization. New Leaders are Greeks and Philhellenes of the Diaspora who are passionate about working together (Oli Mazi) to fundraise, donate their time, resources, skills and expertise in helping to build a better future for Hellas. Anyone under 40 who has engaged with THI via social media, attendance at an event, or a donation is considered a New Leader. For more information on The Hellenic Initiative's work, please visit our news page. Tickets
Tickets are now on sale through our event page on Eventora.
About The Hellenic Initiative The Hellenic Initiative (THI) is a global not-for-profit that invests in entrepreneurial programs based in Greece, lending additional support to local NGOs that support economic development and crisis relief for underserved Greek communities. We’ve also helped fund so many things that make me feel proud, though there is always more to do. We’ve gotten 2.1 million meals working with partners like IOCC and SOS Children’s Villages Greece, vaccinated over 10,000 children, helped 1,000 women in receiving testing (ultrasounds, mammograms etc.) and worked against hospital-acquired diseases found in Greek public hospitals. For more information, please visit thehellenicinitiative.org or read our Annual Report.

About Third Thursday
Since 2001, Third Thursday has provided Greek-Americans, Greeks, Cypriots, and Philhellenes from the Washington, DC area and beyond the chance to meet every month in a relaxed atmosphere, particularly welcoming those who have moved from different parts of the country for work or school into the greater DC area Greek community. With visits to a variety of bars, restaurants, and lounges in the most vibrant neighborhoods of DC, Maryland, and Virginia, Third Thursday is a great way to catch up with old friends and make new ones in the Greek community. We strive to maintain the simple principles of its founders while expanding the event to an ever-changing audience of Greeks in the area. We look forward to seeing you -- or meeting you for the first time -- at the next Third Thursday.E-mail Address: | [email protected] |
