You are Cordially Invited

The National Hellenic Society (NHS) is pleased to celebrate the 200th year anniversary of Greece's War for Independence in a very special way by inviting you and a guest to attend a reception and exclusive screening of Cliffs of Freedom at The Kennedy Center on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 in Washington, D.C.

Cliffs of Freedom is a historical drama romance feature film inspired by actual events, based on the novel, Daughter of Destiny written by NHS member, Marianne Metropoulos. The film was produced by Marianne and Dean Metropoulos, Marianne also served as a co-scriptwriter of the film, with Dean as Executive Producer. The NHS is the proud steward of Cliffs of Freedom which is now available on Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video and Google Play.

Cliffs of Freedom is inspired by actual events and accounts that transpired during the early stages during Greece's War for Independence in 1821. The lives, struggles, sacrifices and journey of the Greeks is on brilliant display as the film marks the first time their voices are brought to life through the magic of the silver screen. The production, acting, score and caliber of cast and crew are outstanding.

Join Dean, Marianne and the Director of the film, Van Ling for this exclusive screening on Wednesday at 5:30 for the reception and 7:00 p.m. for the screening. You will enjoy and be riveted by this film as we celebrate the 200th year anniversary of the fight for freedom for the Greeks and for freedom loving nations and people throughout the world.
