Greek Filmmaker Gino Cabanas is Coming to Annapolis 20 year veteran Gino Cabanas will be coming to Annapolis from Los Angeles for the Mid-Atlantic premier of his award winning film The Cross. He will be available for Q&A immediately after the showing of his dramatic film that centers around the Epiphany. The screening will take place at the Annapolis Film Festival Sunday November 2, 2:30pm at the Crown Eastport Theater. Meet the Director and enjoy this extraordinary film that explores one man’s search for faith. The Cross is directed by Gino Cabanas, written by Steve Stavrakis and stars CSI Miami’s Sofia Milos. The Cross tells the story of a personal injury attorney who feels he is an instrument for his clients greed, he then begins to question the morality of his profession and life. The Festival is set to take place over Halloween weekend, October 31 – November 2, 2003. Documentary, Short and Feature Filmmakers from all over the country are preparing to descend upon Annapolis to screen their award winning and premiere films at Crown Eastport Theaters and The Annapolis Cinema Grill. Wendy Rieger will kick-off the Festival Opening Night with the unreleased film “In America”, which is sure to be another Academy Award Winning Film for Jim Sheridan(My Left Foot, In the Name of the Father). Opening night will be completed with a Masquerade Ball immediately following the film at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.
