Join us for a night of wine tasting and sampling of the unique Greek Cuisine at Mourayo.
Our $ 35.00/person (tax & gratuity not included) menu for the evening will be as follows:
- First Course
- Melitzana Salata (roasted eggplant, garlic, tomatoes, feta)
- Wine: Ode Panos, Spiropoulos, sparkling wine: Organically grown, from moschofilero grapes. Medium to large bubbles. Subdued fruit on the nose.
- Second Course
- Kavouropita (fresh crabmeat & manouri cheese phyllo pie)
- Third Course
- Garides me Elies (orange flavored shrimp grilled with olive and orange salad)
- Wine: Boutari, Mantinia, Moschofilero (white): The "in" wine of Greece. Moschofilero is a large pink grape which best grows in the area of Central Penoponisos. Aromatic nose reminiscent of flowers. Ripe fruit on the palate.
- Fourth Course
- Solomos me Tzatziki (fresh salmon grilled over tzatziki)
- Wine: Gaia, 14/18, Agiorgitiko (Rose): Deep vibrant color. Nose & palate reminiscent of rose tips.
- Fifth Course
- Giouvetsi (diced lamb stew with orzo)
- Wine: Papadonis Meden Agan (red): Just like it says on the label, the wine has nothing in excess. Full bodied, essence of ripe forest fruits, cherry blossoms and black forest "garrique".
- Sixth Course
- Karidopita (walnut cake served with walnut preserves)
