Concert with Ancient Greek Instruments/Dessert Reception
In collaboration with the Embassy of Greece
The European Cultural Centre of Delphi presents a magnificent concert with hydraulis -- the first keyboard instrument in the history of world museic and the ancestor of the later church organ -- and other musical instruments from ancient Greece. The hydraulis was invented by the famous engineer Ctesibius in the 3rd century, BC, and was discovered during an excavation in 1992, and finally a replica was fully reconstructed in 1999.
