Please join the St. Katherine YAL on Monday, August 14th, for our monthly charity and social event beginning at approximately 8:30 pm in the kitchen of the new Cultural Center.  Please bring two or three loaves of sandwich bread and two or three packages of deli meats and cheeses.

Note the later start time for this month’s event.  This is due to a special Vespers service for the Dormition of the Virgin Mary starting at 7:00 P.M. at the church.  Everyone is invited to attend this unique service.  Sandwich-making will take place immediately afterwards, so if you arrive at 8:30 and see no one in the kitchen, don’t leave, because more than likely the church service hasn’t ended.

If you don't have time to go to the supermarket after work on Monday, please write to Aris Chronis at [email protected] by 5:00 P.M. that afternoon and let him know how much you want to contribute and he will deliver your contribution to St. Katherine that evening.  Please help the YAL help the homeless.

The kitchen will be open before service so you may place you food items in the refrigerators there and still attend service. 

After sandwich-making, we will go to a local restaurant for dinner.  (This month's selection will be vegan friendly for those that are observing the Dormition Fast; more than likely Thai or another vegan-friendly option.) 

Deuteri Deutera is a great way to meet new people and help the less fortunate members of our community at the same time.
