This Monday, June 11th at 7:30pm, the Saint Katherine YAL will be Deuteri Deutera, their monthly charitable and social event in the kitchen of the Cultural Center.

Please bring loaves of sandwich bread and packages of deli meats and cheeses in the right amounts to ensure that we do not have any leftovers of bread and meat. The ratio is 2 slices of meat per sandwich, or one slice of meat and one slice of cheese per sandwich. (A typical loaf has 22 slices, or 11 sandwiches, and a typical one pound package of bologna features 14 or 16 slices, but please consult your packaging for exact amounts.) Ideally, each participant should bring seven loaves of bread and eleven packages of meat or a combination of six packages of meat and five packages of cheese; just remember the ratio of 7:11. The combined cost of the bread and meat/cheese should be about $20.00.

If all this math is making your brain hurt, or you don't have time to go to the grocery store beforehand, or cannot attend this event but would like to make a cash contribution to this most worthy cause, please contact Aris Chronis at [email protected] by 5:00 P.M. on Monday night, and Aris will purchase the meat and bread on your behalf.

We want to thank all of those who helped at the festival last weekend. It was greatly appreciated and we helped the church ensure the success of the Spring Festival. We also want to welcome all new members to our YAL and hope that you will fit our future YAL activities into your schedules.
As a way of expressing our thanks, and in an effort to welcome our new members, we would like to invite all YAL members to a Pizza Party Social sponsored by YAL immediately following sandwich making at the Cultural Center. Please make time to attend.
