This Monday, August 13th at 7:30pm, the Saint Katherine YAL will be Deuteri Deutera, their monthly charitable and social event in the kitchen of the Cultural Center.

Please bring loaves of sandwich bread and packages of deli meats and cheeses in the right amounts to ensure that we do not have any leftovers of bread and meat. The ratio is 2 slices of meat per sandwich, or one slice of meat and one slice of cheese per sandwich. (A typical loaf has 22 slices, or 11 sandwiches, and a typical one pound package of bologna features 14 or 16 slices, but please consult your packaging for exact amounts.) Ideally, each participant should bring seven loaves of bread and eleven packages of meat or a combination of six packages of meat and five packages of cheese; just remember the ratio of 7:11.

If all this math is making your brain hurt, or you don't have time to go to the grocery store beforehand, or cannot attend this event but would like to make a cash contribution to this most worthy cause, please write to [email protected] by 5:00 P.M. on Monday night, and we will purchase the meat and bread on your behalf.

After sandwich making, we will all go to a local restaurant for dinner. Please make time to attend.
