Winter and Spring have been in an epic struggle this week, giving us jogging yesterday and skiing this weekend. Let’s end this Cold War Thursday February 19th, and seek Perestroika at a truly cool bar, the Russia House, just north of Dupont Circle. Starting at 7, meet your comrades for drinks and delicacies (caviar even) at the bar. The place has a great vibe, a very cool interior, and is chuck full of diplomats and ex-pats who’ll gladly challenge you to a vodka slamming contest. You’ve been warned. Za tee-byá, za zhén-shsheen, za lyoo-bóf, pa-yé-kha-lee! Russia House is an editor’s pick from the Washington Post: More great reviews: http://www.insiderpages.com/b/15246383997 Russia House Restaurant & Lounge Metro: Red Line (Dupont Circle Stop, take Q Street i.e. north exit) Street Parking: Available to the area north and east of restaurant, but be careful if you park near a diplomatic property. Read the signs carefully and bring quarters. Looking forward to seeing you there. Sincerely, Third Thursday provides young (single and married) Greek-Americans, Greeks, and Cypriots in the DC area a chance to meet in an informal setting. It really is that simple. Whether you are in school or in a job, or somewhere in between, DC native or transplant, you are welcome. You don't even have to live in the area -- If you find yourself often in DC, get on the list. Add yourself to the mix. There is no cover charge and the organizers, Eleni A., George P., and Tia L. do not receive any remuneration for their efforts. Don't Drink and Drive!
