Third Thursday

When: Thursday December 17, 2009
7:00 PM
Where: Kellari Taverna
1700 K Street NW
Washington, DC  20006
Minimum Age: 21

At some point you may have been confused about Christmas gift giving. You can go big with St. Nicholas and give gifts on the 25th. Of course, you remind everyone that St. Nick was Greek, not Turkish, and you also skip the whole travels in boat thing, ‘cause Rudolph has a decent TV special.
Then there is gift giving on Jan 1st via St. Basil, who is patron saint of all thrifty Theas, because it lets her get you that sweater from the Gap (in the wrong size) for a low, low price. Well, there is no confusion about TT because it is being held at Kellari Taverna Thursday, Dec 17th, starting at 7pm. Great Mezze and they are very well known for their grilled fish. And your vocab just got one word bigger because Kellari means "wine cellar." You can also meditate on the coincidence of drinking the gifts of Dionysus on Saint Dionysios Day.

Some of the specials we’ve arranged for this evening are:
$ 4 Peroni draft
$ 6 House Red and White Greek wine
$ 6 Mixed rail cocktails
Complimentary marinated Greek olives, cheese and crostinis.

See you Third Thursday,

Eleni and George

Third Thursday provides young (single and married) Greek-Americans, Greeks, and Cypriots in the DC area a chance to meet in an informal setting. It really is that simple. Whether you are in school or in a job, or somewhere in between, DC native or transplant, you are welcome.

You don't even have to live in the area -- If you find yourself often in DC, get on the list. Add yourself to the mix. There is no cover charge and the organizers, Eleni A. and George P. do not receive any remuneration for their efforts. Don't Drink and Drive!
