President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will host a ceremony in celebration of the 190th anniversary of Greek Independence on March 25, 2011. The White House ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. where President Obama will read the Presidential Proclamation "Greek Independence Day: A National Day of Celebration of Greek and American Democracy, 2011."
