EVENTS AT THE EMBASSY OF GREECE

From Marathon to Special Olympics

Dance with the music of Zorba the Greek and indulge your palates in traditional, healthy delicacies. Travel with us to the wonderful Greek islands and not only, with beautiful movies, informational materials and raffle prizes.

Special Olympics Photography Exhibit

As Greece prepares to welcome the world’s largest sporting event in 2011, Special Olympics World Summer Games, get inspired by 20 years of Special Olympics images by photographer Richard Corman. This remarkable display of photographs featuring individuals with intellectual disabilities, captures the emotion and the excitement of Special Olympics and will encourage the world to unite in Athens, Greece in June 2011.

Unique Cultural Experience

Entertainment at the Embassy of Greece will include traditional music and dances. There will also be featured documentaries by Mecano Film Productions on Plaka, the historical area of Athens at the foothills of the Acropolis and on the islands of Kastelorizo, Samos, Ikaria and Fournoi.

Local Greek restaurants will provide delicious samples of nutritious Greek dishes right from their menus.
