Third Thursday | RFD Washington | May 17, 2012
Join us on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 7 PM at RFD in Washington, DC for this month's Third Thursday. This month's location was inspired not so much by the venue itself, but by what for a limited time is across the street, a massive banner promoting Greek tourism... hanging over a Hooters. All kidding aside, the effort started by UP Greek Tourism and spearheaded locally by several Greek-American organizations and individuals is marked by the crowd funding that was able to raise the money to pay for it in less than two weeks. It's in this spirit that we invite everyone to stop by, take a picture, share it online, and then share a few drinks with your fellow Greeks and Philhellenes.
RFD stands for Regional Food and Drink and features DC's largest selection of beers on tap -- further explanation unnecessary.

If you have a suggestion on where the next Third Thursday should be, email us at [email protected], join our Facebook group. We would love to hear from you!
Since 2001, Third Thursday has provided Greek-Americans, Greeks, Cypriots, and Philhellenes from the Washington, DC area and beyond the chance to meet every month in a relaxed atmosphere, particularly welcoming those who have moved from different parts of the country for work or school into the greater DC area Greek community. With visits to a variety of bars, restaurants, and lounges in the most vibrant neighborhoods of DC, Maryland, and Virginia, Third Thursday is a great way to catch up with old friends and make new ones in the Greek community. As it now embarks on its third iteration since its founding, we promise to maintain the simple principles of its founders, while expanding the event to an ever-changing audience of Greeks in the area. We look forward to seeing you -- or meeting you for the first time -- at the next Third Thursday.
