Third Thursday | New York Avenue Beach Bar | July 19, 2012
Join us on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 7 PM at the newly opened New York Avenue Beach Bar in Washington, DC for this month's Third Thursday. Opened on Memorial Day Weekend of 2012, New York Avenue Beach Bar has brought the beach to DC in the form of a 70-ton pit of Ocean City-sourced sand spread across 5,500 square feet on New York Ave. The Beach Bar features a simple selection of beer, rum punch, and daiquiris, and food by a recently debuted Sundevich food truck.
For those of you coming straight from work can take advantage of the optional shoe/bag check and purchase cheap $5 flip-flops to wear on the beach.

If you have a suggestion on where the next Third Thursday should be, email us at [email protected], join our Facebook group. We would love to hear from you!
Since 2001, Third Thursday has provided Greek-Americans, Greeks, Cypriots, and Philhellenes from the Washington, DC area and beyond the chance to meet every month in a relaxed atmosphere, particularly welcoming those who have moved from different parts of the country for work or school into the greater DC area Greek community. With visits to a variety of bars, restaurants, and lounges in the most vibrant neighborhoods of DC, Maryland, and Virginia, Third Thursday is a great way to catch up with old friends and make new ones in the Greek community. As it now embarks on its third iteration since its founding, we promise to maintain the simple principles of its founders, while expanding the event to an ever-changing audience of Greeks in the area. We look forward to seeing you -- or meeting you for the first time -- at the next Third Thursday.
