Join us on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Public Bar in Dupont Circle at a special early start time of 5:30 PM as Third Thursday teams up with DCGreeks.com for a World Cup Watch Party for Greece's Group C match vs. Japan!  The match starts at 6:00 PM, so we'll be there at 5:30 PM to stake out a place at one of DC's largest U-shaped bars.  Public Bar features a massive 240" projection HDTV (the largest in the city) which will be tuned to the game with the sound on, creating a perfect atmosphere for cheering on Greece to victory!  Public Bar is offering great food and drink specials during World Cup telecasts, including $3 Bud and Bud Light along with $4 Peroni.

Since 2001, Third Thursday has provided Greek-Americans, Greeks, Cypriots, and Philhellenes from the Washington, DC area and beyond the chance to meet every month in a relaxed atmosphere, particularly welcoming those who have moved from different parts of the country for work or school into the greater DC area Greek community.  With visits to a variety of bars, restaurants, and lounges in the most vibrant neighborhoods of DC, Maryland, and Virginia, Third Thursday is a great way to catch up with old friends and make new ones in the Greek community.  As it now embarks on its third iteration since its founding, we promise to maintain the simple principles of its founders, while expanding the event to an ever-changing audience of Greeks in the area.  We look forward to seeing you -- or meeting you for the first time -- at the next Third Thursday.
