Third Thursday | Oz Restaurant & Bar | May 19, 2016
Join us on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 7:00 PM as Third Thursday travels to Oz,
the DC area's first authentic Australian restaurant and bar for this
month's Third Thursday. Greeks represent the 7th largest ethnic group in
Australia, so it's only fitting that a Greek Young Professionals Happy Hour
checks in. Opened in the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington in 2015 by Real Housewives of Potomacs Michael and Ashley
Darby, Oz is fashioned after an Australian country home, with an enclosed front
porch welcoming natural light, a chic copper lounge under the blue sky, and
wraparound outside seating. Oz's
Happy Hour menu runs
until 8:00 PM, so come early to sample select draught and bottle beer, wine,
speciality cocktails, and appetizers all under $7.50.

If you have a suggestion on where the next Third Thursday should be, email us at
[email protected], join our Facebook group. We would love to hear from you!
Since 2001, Third Thursday has provided Greek-Americans, Greeks, Cypriots,
and Philhellenes from the Washington, DC area and beyond the chance to meet every
month in a relaxed atmosphere, particularly welcoming those who have moved from
different parts of the country for work or school into the greater DC area Greek
community. With visits to a variety of bars, restaurants, and lounges in the
most vibrant neighborhoods of DC, Maryland, and Virginia, Third Thursday is a great
way to catch up with old friends and make new ones in the Greek community.
As it now embarks on its 15th year since its founding, we promise to maintain the
simple principles of its founders, while expanding the event to an ever-changing
audience of Greeks in the area. We look forward to seeing you -- or meeting
you for the first time -- at the next Third Thursday.
