Team Trivia with DCGreeks.com Benefiting Bridges to Independence
One of our favorite events of the summer, the Safe at Home Kickball Tournament benefiting Bridges to Independence (formerly the Arlington-Alexandria Coalition for the Homeless), unfortunately will need to wait until next year, however, we’re excited to co-sponsor Bridges to Independence's Virtual Trivia Series starting Sunday, August 9, 2020 for a special four-week limited run.
As part of our sponsorship, we here at DCGreeks.com are opening up 75 player slots a week for an hour of online trivia at a special $15 price per player per game (a $20 discount off the $35 regular registration), with all proceeds going directly to Bridges to Independence. The games themselves will be played using Crowdpurr and Zoom, which will allow for our followers to play individually and as part of a team. To encourage what we hope to be multiple weeks of participation in this four-week online trivia tournament benefiting Bridges to Independence, we are giving away free entries into Week 1 for the first 50 people to email us at Events@DCGreeks.com before 5:00 PM ET on Sunday 8/9/2020. The game starts at 7:30 PM and we'll have one or more Zoom meetings available for players to collaborate in this team trivia experience! We've already donated $1500 to this cause and we're encouraging individual players to donate what they can to help Bridges to Independence lead individuals and families out of homelessness and into stable, independent futures!
August 09, 2020 | 7:30pm - 8:30pm
That's a total of four chances to play trivia! You can sign up to play for one or more weeks from the same registration link.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Coordinate with your friends to assemble a team, or play on one of several DCGreeks.com teams each week, depending on how many of our followers register to play that week.
The trivia sessions will be hosted through Crowdpurr and Zoom. When the event begins, you will log into Crowdpurr and Zoom through special links that will be provided to you closer to the event. Each game will feature several rounds of general knowledge and themed trivia with weekly winners and team scores carrying over to crown a grand champion at the end of the final week.
